The Schindler Award is a conceptual competition which challenges architectural students in Europe to redesign urban areas based on the needs of all inhabitants, irrespective of age, social status and physical capabilities.
The Award is both a competition between individual students and a competition between their schools.

The competition is open to all students in their final year of study on a bachelor's course or those enrolled on a master's course at a European university or college of architecture.

The working language of the Schindler Award competition is English.

Students' Prizes:
– € 5,000 for the winner
– € 3,000 for second place
– € 2,000 for third place
– € 1,000 each for fourth and fifth places

Schools' Prizes:
– € 25,000 for the highest-ranking project
– € 15,000 - second highest-ranking project
– € 10,000 - third highest-ranking project
